Fondant and Royal Icing Used together

When you use fondant as a base, can you pipe royal icing onto it without the fondant getting sticky or deteriorating?

Any special tips I need to know about?

Hi again Julieb202 I do that all the time and never had any problem with it ( check out my album in the cookie Gallery and you'll find one or two of those cookies where I used fondant as a base & piped RI on top ) :cool:
