Have seen lots of people recently boxing up their cookies, and decided to order some myself. Had an order for cookies packaged in sets of 4, so these worked perfectly. And I liked these because they are "green" - made from recycled materials.
What do you think?

Love how you have them boxed. It really takes cookies to the next level to have them boxed this way. I would definately be excited to be on the receiving end of these cookies!

Thanks all. I ordered these boxes from Nashville Wraps. 50 of them, and they came to less than $1 each, so not bad. But now I have 44 boxes that I have to make use of. Gotta think of more cookie projects I guess :)

They'll be great at Christmas time! Or for birthdays presents. I'm sure you'll use them. Your cookies are great!

Gorgeous! This may be a silly question, but how did you do those pretty silver flowers? To me they don't look like they are just piped on (maybe they are!) but they're just beautiful!

I always cheat on the flowers because I don't know how to pipe them. I used Wilton Jumbo Daisies, and brushed them with silver luster dust :)

I've never heard of them... are they edible?

Yes, they are edible. You can get them in the cake decorating section of AC Moore or Michaels. With the other sprinkles & sanding sugars, etc.

Gotta say I love the look of a set in a box, but am I the only one that thinks $1 is a lot for packaging? Plus if you add in the cost of shred, and individual cello bags? How much would you have to sell a 4-cookie set for (3 or 4 inch cookies)? Just curious... I want to do boxed sets, just want to find the right box at the right price so it doesn't affect the per-cookie cost too much.

Gotta say I love the look of a set in a box, but am I the only one that thinks $1 is a lot for packaging?

I would say - IMFHO (in my frugal, humble opinion) - that $1 per box is expensive. If one can buy in bulk, that would be the way to go.

I don't sell my cookies, but I do like them to look as professional as possible, including the packaging. Every month I ship about 3-4 dozen cookies to two friends, do the Christmas cookies (oh heck...who are we kidding - ALL THE HOLIDAYS!), and teacher gifts. Compared to most cookie makers, I don't make a lot of them. (I haven't made cookies in about a week. Yep - going through withdrawals.) But I did make the plunge to buy boxes in bulk, which drastically reduced the cost per box.

This is what I got for shipping to my firends: http://www.brpboxshop.com/2381.html

And smaller gifts to teachers, friends and anyone else who will take my cookies: http://www.brpboxshop.com/2109.html

And free shipping. So you have the room to store boxes (this company ships them flat), look around to what size/shape you want to use. Besides BRP, there are others you can look into: Uline, Papermart...anyone else chime in with suggestions?

As for cello, I get mine here: http://www.universalplastic.com/

But does anyone have a suggestion on the shred - who has good prices?

And do we have a list of websites somewhere? I just discovered Cake Crystals.
