RI Recipe

There may a place on here but was not sure where to find it! Can someone point me in the
best direction for a recipe? I use a glaze right now but I need to maybe switch for shipping puposes!

Also, has anyone ever used a glaze as the base and then decorated in RI?

I have been using Sugar Deaux's RI recipe (found on her FaceBook page, may also be here in the archives) most recently. It is similar to Antonia74's recipe on CakeCentral, but adds some corn syrup. It has been well received by family and friends.

I have also based in glaze and decorated in RI several times with good results.

I am a glazer but I do know that RI works better for some things. I have used a glaze base and RI for outlines and details before. I have also mixed RI and glaze. I really like that texture a lot - - great flavor, but the extra "poouf" of the RI.

I just tried Sugar Deaux's RI recipe. It does dry faster than regular RI. You need to act fast if you are going to add eddible glitter. I had no problem using sanding sugar. I am definitely going to use it again. It's my favorite so far.
