Quantity question
I have been asked to make Christmas and Chanukah cookies for a class at my school. They want the blank cookies and I will supply the icing for the kids to decorate by themselves. There are 31 kids, each gets two cookies to decorate- I'm using corn syrup glaze and they will be using plastic spoons to decorate. My question is, how much icing should I prepare? They will basically be covering the cookies and using various sprinkles, etc. to decorate on top. No fancy decorating techniques. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks!

I think 2 batches of icing would be enough if I were decorating 60 cookies... You will probably have some left over... If they are just flooded the cookie with a spoon, I can picture the finger licking and spoon licking already! I would figure they would use about 1-2 spoons of icing per cookie. They will probably use a ton of sprinkles, you know how kids are with glitter! Have fun.
