    Chinese New Year Cookies

I made these for my friends Chinese New Years party last night. Inspiration, but let's be honest - directly copied...from Sugarbelle. These were also my first go with the NFSC recipe, being that I made about 50 cookies and they were polished off fairly quick - I'd say it's a winner.

Those came out gorgeous! And glad the NFSC worked out for you! It's such a pain to make batch after batch trying to find "the" recipe!

Thanks all!! My fav was the fans too. I was rather disappointed in the people ones - my icing doesn't come out puffy and shiny like Sugarbelle's (which is really noticeable with the black). Oh well.

They are amazing cookies! I wish I could copy as well as you!!!! That's why I hesitate to "credit" my versions to the original!

I looked at these cookies, and then saw who made the post, and cracked up. Seriously, girl, you've got skill. "Oh, I was just messing around with my third set of cookies ever and out popped these babies!" These are awesome, even if you did copy Sugarbelle. We all learn and get inspiration from somewhere! I have a feeling it won't be long before you're knocking us on our rear ends with some awesome original designs.
