    Art reception platter redo

I decide to take a leap and enter the Practice Bakes Perfect challenge on Cookie Connection. I redid my favorite platter of all time. At the time I only had square and circle cutters and an assortment of snowflakes. These were my very first attempt at airbrushing. But it was time to revisit them. In 3 years I've accumulated a lot of stencils and a ton of cutters. I have a whole shoebox of just snowflakes!!!
At Christmas I had a frosting coloring flop but couldn't bear to toss it. So I got it out of the freezer and decided to used it for this new set. Burgundy, red and peach don't seem like winter colors at all! I was a little nervous, as I always am when I go outside the box. It turns out I made enough for two completely different sets and I entered both of them. I love the way they turned out. (I had a few flops but stuck them underneath..tee hee) I used Julia Usher's Prettier Plaque stencil set for January. Love it. --Katy

They came out great! The colors are unconventional, but they work!
